[Satellite TODAY 11-08-10] Dish Network reported total revenues of $3.21 billion for its 2010 third quarter, a 10.9 percent increase compared with revenues of $2.89 billion for the corresponding period in 2009, the U.S. pay TV operator announced Nov. 5.
    Dish Network’s net income increased by triple-digit percentages to $245 million for the quarter, compared with $81 million during the corresponding period in 2009. Higher average monthly revenue-per-subscriber drove revenue gains.
    The company added 819,000 gross subscribers during the quarter, compared to 887,000 added subscribers in the same period a year earlier. However, Dish lost about 29,000 net subscribers in its most recent third quarter, compared to a net gain of 241,000 a year ago.
