[Satellite TODAY 11-04-10] End-to-end IP video solutions provider Haivision acquired the digital signage market assets of CS Software Holdings, Haivision announced Nov. 3.
Haivision will inherit CS Software’s CoolSign product technology — a veteran digital signage product established in 1998 to provide software solutions for mission critical enterprise-ready signage deployments.
    “Haivision recognizes the opportunity for converging video streaming, IPTV, interactive media and digital signage, and we are now positioned as the only company that can deliver end-to-end technology solutions and a unified infrastructure for communications across all media delivery platforms,” Haivision Network Video President and CEO Mirko Wicha said in a statement.
    Haivision said it will maintain the CoolSign brand under its ownership and plans cross-product technical development to introduce its Makito HD video encoding into the CoolSign solution suite and extend its Furnace IP video system with its signage control capabilities.
    Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
