[Satellite TODAY 11-03-10] BSkyB has expanded its technology contract with Web-based media monitoring and management solution provider Actus Digital to provide its Actus View multi-channel transmission ingest, content detection and monitoring solution, BSkyB announced Nov. 2.
    BSkyB, which contracted Actus to provide a variety of technologies to the broadcaster earlier this year, will use the solution to manage the quality of its transmissions. BSkyB has scaled the Actus View installation to monitor 72-channels in total.
    “The Actus architecture leverages the very latest in Web technologies, providing a flexible platform for managing large-scale media monitoring and analysis workflows like BSkyB. Customers can implement Actus as an individual system and monitor activity for a specific channel or transmission, or deploy as a distributed architecture with all channels and transmissions fully monitored by the enterprise Actus platform,” Actus Digital CEO Sima Levy said in a statement.
