[Satellite TODAY 10-26-10] Thrane & Thrane will renew and extend an emergency communications training sponsorship it started with NGO Télécoms Sans Frontières (TSF) in July 2009, Thrane & Thrane announced Oct. 25.
   The new sponsorship agreement will see Thrane & Thrane continue to supply TSF with Inmarsat-powered Explorer BGAN terminals, while adding Explorer 325 vehicular terminals to the supply order for emergency telecoms training courses at the TSF bases in Bangkok and Managua, Thailand.
    The extension also includes the supply of two Explorer 500 and Explorer 700 terminals, followed by the delivery of Thrane’s recently launched Explorer 325 terminal, which TSF will use for an upcoming training course taking place in January or February.
    Financial details of the partnership agreement were not disclosed.
