[Satellite TODAY 10-12-10] Simon Van den Dries has been appointed vice president of EMS Global Tracking sales and will oversee sales operations for both direct and indirect sales focusing on the government, military, transportation and energy market segments, EMS announced Oct. 11.
   Van den Dries previously led commercial sales for General Electric‘s GE Asset Intelligence business unit in Europe, managing the European sales organization for GE’s telematics service provider. He also held senior international sales roles with SES’ Africa, Spain, Benelux and Italy.
   EMS said Van den Dries was appointed to widen the company’s geographic market coverage.
