[Satellite TODAY 10-07-10] Sky Perfect JSat’s Senior Executive Vice President Yutaka Nagai has been appointed President of the Asia-Pacific Satellite Communications Council (APSCC), effective in January.
    Nagai will lead APSCC for a two-year term and be responsible for implementing the directions and guidelines set by the council’s constitution and general assembly. Nagai, a member of the APSCC board of directors from 2009 to 2010, succeeds Nongluck Phinaintisart, who has served as APSCC president for the past four years.
     APSCC is a non-profit organization that promotes communications and broadcasting via satellite as well as outer space activities in the Asia-Pacific region.
