[Satellite TODAY 10-06-10] GlobeCast has acquired a multi-channel HD playout facility in Asia from Technicolor, the company announced Oct. 5.
    As part of the deal, GlobeCast will acquire new staff for post-production and playout services.
    With the integration of the post-production and creative activities of Technicolor in Singapore, GlobeCast now can offer promo/interstitial creation, audio dubbing, subtitling and compliance editing services, in addition to playout, program origination and digital media asset management services, with the aim of providing a complete one-stop shop for broadcasters.
    Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed.
