[Satellite TODAY 09-29-10] Integral Systems has been awarded a sole source contract from an unnamed satellite service provider to expand its existing satellite fleet control system to support four Boeing 702 satellites already in orbit, Integral announced Sept. 28.
The customer’s legacy command and control system will be replaced with Integral Systems’ Epoch Integrated Product Suite (IPS) and the operations of the four satellites will be integrated into the customer’s existing Epoch-based fleet control system.
“Integral Systems and our Epoch product line is the preferred choice for easy-to-use and cost-effective command and control and satellite fleet management by satellite owners and operators worldwide. Epoch IPS’ open architecture and inherent flexibility allows us to support our customers as their business and operations grow, regardless of whether they are operating a few satellites or multiple constellations,” Integral Systems Senior Vice President and General Manager James Kramer said in a statement.
