[Satellite TODAY 09-24-10] Vislink News Entertainment has completed testing of its ENPS content delivery solution for The Associated Press (AP) across Vislink’s microwave and advanced gateway systems, the company announced Sept. 23.
     The testing was part of a collaborative effort by the organizations to develop an integrated solution that enables file-based workflow from the field as if connected directly to the studio LAN.
    The ENPS solution aims to allow journalists in the field to use microwave bandwidth provided by Vislink to connect directly to ENPS servers at base, submit finished stories and simultaneously send live video. Vislink said the solution’s emphasis on microwave bandwidth reduces potential problems with public broadband, which can become clogged in breaking news situations.
