[Satellite TODAY 09-21-10] Independent satellite communications provider Vizada has partnered with Indigo Telecom to launch Inmarsat’s IsatPhone Pro in Kenya, Vizada announced Sept. 20.
     Vizada and Indigo Telecom will make the IsatPhone Pro service available to customers based in Kenya and operating in other parts of East Africa, notably Sudan, Somalia and areas not covered by other satellite services.
     Indigo and Vizada also are working in partnership to provide Inmarsat BGAN services to customers operating in East Africa to extend connectivity beyond Kenya’s borders to remote areas. The partners will bundle both IsatPhone Pro and BGAN services with a range of Vizada Solutions to allow customers to send e-mails, use the Internet and perform videoconferencing.
