[Satellite TODAY 09-21-10] End-to-end telematics solutions provider Geotab and machine-to-machine manufacturer Quake Global have released Geotab’s GO4v3 telematics device, which will support global satellite data coverage in conjunction with Quake’s Q9612 satellite modem, the companies announced Sept. 20.
    Geotab’s GO4v3 compact device aims to provide enterprise and commercial customers with an array of remote telematics, asset tracking and emergency information supporting multiple terrestrial communication protocols. The inclusion of Quake’s Q9612 satellite modem is designed to use satellite to fill in coverage gaps for seamless connectivity to Geotab customers.
    “Geotab has an impressive, diverse customer base comprising large fleet operators with varying usage patterns and geographic profiles. The Q9612 will provide their customers with real-world value and safety in ensuring that their assets are always in touch under any conditions and regardless of location,” Quake CTO Sergio Ramos said in a statement.
