[Satellite TODAY 09-14-10] Glowlink has released its VSAT terminal-commissioning product – the VSAT X-Pol Alignment and Commissioning System (VXCS) – to commercial markets, the company announced Sept. 13.
    The Glowlink VXCS aims to automate labor-intensive and error-prone portions of VSAT terminal commissioning, while cutting the cost and time in deploying and maintaining VSAT networks.  The unit requires no participation of satellite NOC or hub personnel, which aims to result in reduced human errors, satellite interferences and workload at NOC and Hub.
    “We are extremely pleased with the value proposition of this revolutionary product. All field data to date clearly indicate that with the VXCS, VSAT deployment can see dramatic improvement in productivity, speed of deployment, and cost saving,” Glowlink Vice President of Operations Bob Estus said in a statement.
