[Satellite TODAY 09-06-10] China Telecom Americas, a North American subsidiary of China Telecom Corp. has partnered with carrier Ethernet network operator CENX to provide services both to and from its base of end-users,
    The companies aim to use the partnership to provide flexible bandwidth and cost effective delivery of services, interconnecting with other carriers via the CENX network.  The CENX connection also enables U.S.-based service providers to efficiently reach businesses based in the United States, China and the 73 other countries served by China Telecom.
    China Telecom said the partnership was formed to open up new revenue opportunities for the company and its U.S. partners with connections based in CENX’s New York and Los Angeles exchanges. “Connecting with CENX enables China Telecom Americas to extend our reach through a diversified platform. As an additional way to interconnect with our partners, we are able to respond to our customers’ needs in a more scalable and efficient manner,” Donald Tan, president of China Telecom Americas, said in a statement.
