[Satellite TODAY 08-30-10] Cyfrowy Polsat, the Polish DTH operator, had over 3.2 million subscribers at the end of June, according to its 2010 half-year results issued Aug. 26.
The operator, which added over 400,000 subscribers in Poland over the last 12 months, has also seen a significant increase in terms of overall revenues. For the six months to the end of June, the operator recorded revenues of $239.41 million, an increase of 20 percent compared to the same stage last year.
Net profits were also on the rise. For the six months to the end of June, the operator had profits $48.71 million, an increase of 19 percent compared to the same stage last year.
The operator said it is breaking away from its traditional satellite pay-TV roots, and looking to offer more services to customers. In June this year, Polsat launched a new multi-play offer enabling customers to purchase three services, television, broadband and mobile telephony under a single contract.
