[Satellite TODAY 08-30-10] African pay-TV operator MultiChoice has announced three new distribution deals for its DStv on Demand service, the company announced Aug. 26.
    MultiChoice signed deals with South African ISPs Vox Telecom, Neology and Cybersmart to distribute its content and pay-TV packages online. South Africa is MultiChoice’s largest market for satellite pay-TV, although its offers DTH services in other major markets in Sub-Saharan Africa.
    “Since we launched DStv on Demand we have been in discussions with several ISPs about offering the service to their subscribers. We are very pleased to announce the first wave of partners and look forward to announcing more very soon. Now more DStv subscribers will be able to watch their favourite television shows online,” Jason Probert, general manager, DStv on Demand, said in a statement.
