[Satellite TODAY 08-02-10] Canadian antenna manufacturer C-Com Satellite Systems saw its 2010 second quarter net profits increase by 27.4 percent to $501,432 Canadian dollars ($486,827) despite a 29.5 percent drop in revenues to $2.2 million Canadian dollars ($2.1 million) from the same period in 2009, the company announced in its latest financial results, issued July 30.
The wide range in results may be explained in the next quarter as C-Com said it experienced a decrease in sales as a result of orders that were delayed in the second quarter and will report the impact in the third quarter.
C-Com remains free of long-term debt with cash-on-hand. The company recorded an accrual for future income tax during the quarter, which is expected to generate future earnings, according to C-Com CEO Leslie Klein.
