[Satellite TODAY 07-23-10] Hiltron Communications won a contract from German broadcast system integrator Wellen & Noethen to provide a satellite receive system as part of a large IPTV head-end installation, Hiltron announced July 22.
    The new installation will be located in Abu Dhabi and include two 4.7-meter rotatable antennas with Ku- and C-band combination feeds, 3.7-meter fixed antennas for Ku-band and two 4.5-meter fixed antennas — one exclusively for C-band and the other for both bands. The system also will incorporate L-band distribution equipment to feed the integrated receiver/decoders and an Intorel Visonic network management system.
    Hiltron began work on the new installation in mid-June. Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
