[Satellite TODAY 07-23-10] MDA subsidiary Geospatial Services Inc. (GSI) has signed an agreement with geospatial solutions provider RapidEye to be one of its data distributors in Canada, RapidEye announced July 22.
    RapidEye said the agreement is part of an initiative to build a worldwide network of distributors to provide its products in their customers’ own language. RapidEye has a history with MDA as the company led the development and delivery of RapidEye’s satellite system as prime contractor.
    “We look forward to collaborating with RapidEye and to their team of experts. We trust in this partnership and expect great interest in RapidEye’s high-quality satellite imagery in the Canadian market. We are also looking forward to partnering on joint solutions projects developed from optical and radar imagery,” MDA Geospatial Services Business Manager Paulo Bezerra said in a statement.
