[Satellite TODAY 07-14-10] CapRock Communications signed a two-year contract with Yahsat subsidiary Star Satellite Communications to provide custom voice, video and data communications services to clients in the Middle East and Southwest Asia, CapRock announced July 13.
    CapRock will provide the design, equipment installation and management of a private, custom satellite service built on its CommandAccess network, which was launched in December. As part of the managed service remote,     CapRock will deploy remote terminals in key areas of operation across the Middle East and Southwest Asia over the course of the two-year contract. Yahsat will use CapRock’s technology to support its integrated YahService offering.
    “The addition of CapRock’s CommandAccess services to YahService will enable us to offer our customers a unique network solution as well as outstanding service and support. This is in line with our strategy to work with the right partners to acquire the latest satellite technologies to deliver complete solutions to a wide range of clients in enterprise, military and government sectors,” YahService General Manager Rashed Al Ghafri said in a statement.
