[Satellite TODAY 05-20-10] Lockheed Martin Space Systems has realigned its Commercial Space Systems unit to operate within the company’s Global Communications Systems business, the company announced May 20.
    Lockheed Martin said the new organizational structure is designed to enhance synergies and efficiencies in providing advanced communications solutions to government and commercial customers around the globe.
    Joseph Rickers has been named president of the Commercial Space Systems unit and will be responsible for new business capture and design, development, production, and on-orbit support of satellites and related systems for commercial customers worldwide.
