[Satellite TODAY 05-17-10] Spanish DTH platform Digital+ has lost more than 10 percent of its subscriber base in the period from March 2009 to March 2010, according to the company’s 2010 first-quarter results, issued May 13.
    Digital+, a subsidiary of Spainish broadcaster Prisa, had 1.8 million subscribers at the end of the first three months of 2010, with average revenue per subscriber of 41.8 euros ($52.64). At the end of March 2009, Digital+ had more than 2 million subscribers.
    Digital+ is not the only DTH platform in Europe to see its numbers fall in the last quarter. In Italy, Sky Italia had 4.7 million subscribers at the end of March, a loss of almost 40,000 subscribers compared to the previous quarter.
