[Satellite TODAY 05-11-10] International Datacasting Corp. (IDC) entered into a contact valued at 1.2 million euro ($1.5 million) contract with an unnamed pan-European content distribution company to provide its Superflex Pro Video product line for the expansion of the customer’s 3-D live content and digital cinema content distribution networks, IDC announced May 10.
    The Superflex Pro Video receiver, which is supported by encoding technology from Sensio, features two ultra high-speed dual-tuners which aim to provide built-in redundancy as well as multiple layers of encryption/CAS security, forward error correction and the simultaneous streaming of live and recorded content.
    In a statement, IDC President and CEO Frederick Godard called the deal an “initial contract” which may include add-on 3D Live and digital distribution orders in the future.
