[Satellite TODAY 05-04-10] Integral Systems saw revenues drops 5.8 percent in its 2010 second quarter to $40.3 million due to costs related to the acquisition of CVG-Avtec, Integral announced in its latest financial results, released May 3.
    CVG and its subsidiary, Avtec Systems, were acquired by Integral for $34.7 million in March. Acquisition and interest expenses cost Integral $1.5 million during the quarter, causing its second quarter operational income to drop to $300,000 from $4.2 million in the same period in 2009. Integral’s net income also fell from $2.6 million to $100,000 in the same period.
    Integral Systems expects contributions of CVG-Avnet to become apparent later this year. “We are optimistic that its contribution to our business, combined with continued solid growth of our products group and our recently launched services group, set the stage for long-term growth and profitability,” Integral CEO Paul Casner said in a statement.
