[Satellite TODAY 04-29-10] Arqiva has signed a deal with events rights holder SuperVision Media to broadcast live events using Arqiva’s satellite distribution services on the Intelsat 905 satellite, the company announced April 27.

Arqiva is providing SuperVision Media with its digital cinema platform, supporting distribution and commercialization of live sport and entertainment events into digitally enabled cinemas in Europe and around the world.

            The Arquiva satellite services include satellite newsgathering, uplinking, turnaround and content management.

            Financial details of the contract were not disclosed.
