[Satellite TODAY 04-28-10] IP service provider SkyVision Global Networks has launched a new local hub in Nairobi, Kenya, to support SkyVision virtual private network (VPN) solutions in the region, the company announced April 27.
    SkyVision VPN is a low-latency, satellite-based service, which aims to allow organizations to connect their WAN sites, share information and collaborate via voice and data applications.
    “The issue of latency is critical to enterprise effectiveness. Local hubs for corporate enterprise solutions, along with local customer support, represent a key element of SkyVision’s broader values and strategy,” SkyVision CEO Mark Gazit said in a statement.
