[Satellite TODAY 04-13-10] Newtec is set to launch its DualFlow solution, which aims to allow broadcasters to migrate to satellite IP-based operations through interfacing with both ASI and IP networks, the company announced April 12.
    The DualFlow features a single satellite modulation unit that interfaces with both ASI and IP infrastructures and enables the transmission of both IP and TV content in
DVB-S2.
    Newtec said the unit also supports new interactive IP services over satellite and provides optimization of data transport to maximize satellite bandwidth. “The migration towards IP is only a matter of time. The good news is, with DualFlow, the timing is completely yours,” Newtec CEO Serge Van Herck said in a statement.
