[Satellite TODAY 03-26-10] AsiaSat CEO Peter Jackson will step down as CEO later this year, the company announced March 26.
AsiaSat deputy CEO and Executive Director William Wade will replace Jackson as CEO on Aug. 1. Wade has been with AsiaSat since 1994.
Jackson will retire as CEO on July 31, and then be appointed as executive chairman at the beginning of August and remain as executive director of AsiaSat until late July next year.
AsiaSat also announced its full year results March 26, which saw steady increases in overall revenues and profits.
The operator had full year revenues of HK1.16 billion ($149.45 million), an increase of 13 percent compared to last year. In 2009, the operator had overall profits of HK$525 million ($67.64 million), an eight percent increase compared to 2008.
