[Satellite TODAY 03-04-10] Hughes Network Systems has launched a digital signage application for its Hughes MediaSignage offering on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch devices, the company announced March 2.
The mobile application aims to allow network administrators to disseminate information and emergency notifications from their iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad devices.
     Administrators can pre-define messages to be sent and update their Hughes MediaSignage network to display messages to employees or customers.
     “Overwhelmingly, the feedback from beta testing was this is a convenient, easy-to-use application ideal for emergency situations,” Hughes Vice President Mike Tippets said in a statement.
