[Satellite TODAY 03-01-10] Sky Deutschland saw revenues and profits fall to 902.1 million euros ($1.22 billion) in 2009 from 941.1 million euros ($1.47 billion) in 2008, the operator announced in its 2009 year-end financial reports, released Feb. 26.

Sky Deutschland registered a net loss of 676.5 million euros ($913.23 million) in 2009 compared to a loss of 269.4 million euros ($363.67 million) in 2008. Following the decision to launch the new service under the Sky brand, the Premiere trademark was written off in the second quarter last year, which had a negative net effect of 253.9 million euros ($342.75 million).
