[Satellite TODAY 02-23-10] Thuraya is launching a mobile satellite broadband starter package specifically designed for occasional-use Thuraya IP service customers, the company announced Feb. 21.
The Thuraya IP starter package charges customers based on usage (per megabyte) and its accessibility to both pre-paid and post-paid users.
“The Thuraya IP Starter Package now makes the next-generation satellite terminal more accessible to users around the world. … Our aim is to attract additional end users who demand a user-friendly, plug-and-play mobile satellite solution at affordable monthly charges,” Thuraya Product Manager Rashid Ahmad Baba said in a statement.
