[Satellite TODAY 02-23-10] Hughes Network Systems unveiled its 9201-M2M universal SCADA IP terminal that operates over Inmarsat‘s Broadband Global Area Network (BGAN) satellite service, the company announced Feb. 23.
    The terminal aims to provide reliable monitoring and control services at unattended SCADA remote sites around the world.
    The ruggedized Hughes 9201-M2M is configured for self-contained SCADA operation via a standard Ethernet interface for oil, gas and utility industries and can be packaged for continuous monitoring and control of remote sites, such as well automation, pipeline monitoring, utility SmartMeter backhaul and backup to VSAT networks.
