[Satellite TODAY 02-05-10] Mobile TV and DTV transmission technology developer TeamCast released a new software version of its DVB-T2 modulator Power4-T2, which supports a T2-MI input stream interface and the single-frequency network (SFN) operating mode, the company announced Feb. 4.
    TeamCast said that the Power4-T2 development work involved both the design of the T2-MI modulator input interface in compliance with the ETSI TS 102 773 specification, and the integration of the synchronization mechanisms required for SFN.
    “This new release has been specially designed to meet DVB-T2 early adopters’ expectations to run SFN transmissions on the first DVB-T2 networks. By releasing this version in such a short time after the ETSI standard release date, we are following our committed strategy to support broadcasters from the very earliest network trial phase right up to commercial network rollout,” TeamCast Product Manager Eric Pinson said in a statement.
