[Satellite TODAY 02-01-10] U.K.-based Analysys Mason has been selected by the Brunei Authority for Info-communications Technology Industry (AITI) to develop a broadband strategy to support access to highly developed information communication technology infrastructure, Analysys Mason announced Jan. 29.
AITI has commissioned Analysys Mason to undertake a review of the country’s existing broadband policy and strategies and to provide tools, plans and recommendations addressing both supply and demand of broadband and approaches to investment for the construction of next-generation broadband infrastructure. The firm will prepare an implementation plan for Brunei.
“Establishing a virtuous circle, where demand for broadband services encourages investment in the supply of new infrastructure and new services, which in turn further promotes demand, is integral to the development of a successful broadband market,” Analysys Mason Senior Manager Paul Sumner said in a statement.
