[Satellite TODAY 01-28-10] Beirut-based satellite and wireless specialist IDMI has chosen Newtec’s FlexACM technology to boost capacity and availability on key satellite IP trunking links between Greece and ten customer sites in the Middle East, Newtec announced Jan. 27.
    The FlexACM solution aims to increase IDMI’s bandwidth efficiency of the satellite transmission, lower operational expenses, and provide IDMI with the capability to use new resources such as Ku-band/Ka-band.
    “Newtec’s technology enables us to deliver reliable and stable links over satellites across the Middle East region. Our aim is always to keep on providing additional value to our customers, with the right ratio of quality and price and once again Newtec have proved to be able to meet all our expectations,” IDMI CEO Zakie Karam said in a statement.
