[Satellite TODAY 01-22-10] Broadcast Facilities Inc. (BFI), a media services company, has acquired Crawford Communications’ satellite services division, BFI announced Jan. 21.
    BFI’s stock acquisition includes all of Crawford’s television network origination, teleport, satellite uplink trucks, Internet, production and the government services portions of the business.
    BFI will combine Crawford’s Atlanta-based satellite business with BFI’s primary asset, the Andrita Media Center, an independent HD/SD network production facility on the West Coast. BFI’s client base includes ABC, NBC Universal, DirecTV Sports Networks, Hallmark, NFL Network, Game Show Network, ESPN, NASCAR Media Group and MGM as well as government entities including the U.S. Department of Defense, NASA and the CDC.
    Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
