[Satellite TODAY 01-19-10] Stratos Global Corp. has become an international distributor of Harris Corp.’s ruggedized Inmarsat BGAN terminals, Stratos announced Jan. 18.
    Stratos will distribute the RF-7800B-DU024, a land portable BGAN terminal for dismounted applications, and the RF-7800B-VU104, a land mobile BGAN terminal for vehicles on the move through its direct sales force and its global network of channel partners.
    “The RF-7800B product line will particularly benefit military users, by allowing them to transmit Type-1 data and access intelligence networks anywhere in the world, including in the most adverse environmental conditions. This reach-back capability further ties commanders to personnel at the edge, allowing for more rapid and better-informed decision making,” Stratos President and CEO Jim Parm said in a statement.
