[Satellite TODAY 01-08-10] In-flight broadband services are crucial for airlines in order to gain a competitive edge of over airlines and serve customer needs better, Bernhardt Seiter, director of Lufthansa’s product competence center, said. 

    “We come from the user side, and we felt that we clearly need broadband services. We need to make these available to customers,” Seiter said in an interview with Satellite News.

    Lufthansa expects to launch in-flight broadband services in conjunction with Panasonic later this year.
