[Satellite TODAY 11-18-09] Ondas Media has signed a content co-operation agreement with Jazz FM, a leading U.K. jazz radio channel, the company announced Nov. 17.
The partnership will see distribution of Jazz FM’s content on the Ondas Media digital satellite radio platform to be broadcast across the internationally recognized borders of 27 European countries. 
    In a statement, Jazz FM CEO Richard Wheatly said the deal could see the channel gain millions of subscribers. “If Jazz FM is as popular in the 27 countries in Europe as it is in the UK, this partnership could potentially result in several million subscribers. Ondas Media’s research has already confirmed that there is a significant interest in Jazz throughout Europe and our offering is an excellent example of content which can be commercialized on a mainstream basis,” he said.
    Jazz FM has around 500,000 listeners in the United Kingdom.
