[Satellite TODAY 10-19-09] HaiVision Network Video appointed Mohammed Ghafari vice president of Middle East operations in efforts to establish a direct presence in Dubai, the company announced Oct. 16.
    Ghafari will be working out of a new regional office, which HaiVision completed earlier this year. The company said its Middle East business has officially commenced operations.
    Ghafari will be responsible for addressing regional demand for HaiVision’s video networking technology and IPTV solutions. He previously served as regional director of Convergys Corp. and began his career at IBM.
