[Satellite TODAY 09-22-09] Tele2 Netherlands has named Amino Communications as its supplier of MPEG-4 set-top boxes for the provision of IPTV services, Amino announced Sept. 21.
Amino will supply Tele2 with two different models of its MPEG-4 dual SD/HD compatible, as well as personal video recorder models, over an 18-month period.
“This is a strategically important contract win with a large and established Western European operator. In a strong and competitive selection process, we were able to demonstrate a compelling package of product, partnerships, flexibility and a deep understanding of the needs and demands of network operators, like Tele2, that are actively deploying IPTV services,” Amino CEO Andrew Burke said in a statement.
