[Satellite TODAY 09-15-09] Amino Communications, an independent IPTV development company, has won an order from Pioneer Telephone Cooperative for high-definition (HD) set-top boxes (STBs), as part of an HD upgrade for more than 50,000 Pioneer customers, Amino announced Sept. 14.
Pioneer, which offers digital TV, voice, cellular and broadband services, will use Amino’s A130 and A130M STBs. Pioneer said the transition, already underway, has been seamless with no negative service effects to its customers.
“The A130 series is proven technology that combines excellent performance with sleek good looks that our subscribers will be pleased to have in their homes,” said Pioneer Manager Scott Ulsaker, in a statement.
Financial details of the order were not disclosed.
