[Satellite Today 09-08-09] Latens, a provider of software-based conditional access and middleware for Pay TV providers, launched its Secure Distribution System (SDS), the company announce Sept. 8.
Latens SDS aims to supply content providers and Pay TV operators with secure distribution using software only, over any type of network from traditional DVB-S to IP and Fiber.
“Offering a high security, high availability and cost-effective content distribution package, SDS also gives content providers and operators the added benefit of Latens’ proactive product monitoring and diagnostic platform, providing a state-of-the-art interface for managing secure content distribution,” said Latens spokesman Philip Cardy, in a statement.
