[Satellite TODAY 08-26-09] RaySat Antenna Systems expanded its StealthRay two-way antenna product line with the release of its StealthRay 5000 model, announced Aug. 25.
RaySat said the StealthRay 5000 antenna, which is equipped with a higher transmit gain, was designed specifically for government and satellite newsgathering customers requiring higher link data rates for applications such as high-quality video streaming from mobile units to a fixed station.
Efforts were made to maintain a low profile form factor, as the StealthRay 5000 is only 3 centimeters higher than the standard models.
“The large global deployment and popularity of the StealthRay product line provided RaySat with strategic insight into a variety of segments and applications. We identified a demand in the market for an antenna offering higher transmit bit rates,” RaySat Vice President of International Business Development Eran Agmon said in a statement.
