[Satellite TODAY 08-26-09] Edgeware deployed its Orbit-2X server platform to power Iskon, an on-demand IPTV service in Croatia, Edgeware announced Aug. 25.
    Iskon’s service, launched in April, includes network personal video recording,  catch-up of live TV and video on demand.
   The Orbit-2X server platform aims to allow Iskon´s nPVR subscribers to record up to 10 hours of live TV in the network, with a catch-up TV service that enables viewers to replay the last 48 hours of broadcasts from popular TV-channels in Croatia. The platform also aims to address economical bandwidth issues in the region by adding servers in local network locations that are lagging.
