[Satellite Today 06-16-09] Measat Satellite Systems renewed an agreement with Celestial Movies Channel Ltd. to distribute Celestial Movies and Celestial Classic Movies on Measat-3, the Measat announced June 15.

    “We are delighted with the on-going support from MEASAT,” Terry Mak, executive vice president, Distribution & TV Networks, Celestial Pictures, said in a statement. “Channel operators with multi-feed operations usually face high transmission costs on an on-going basis. By offering an MPEG-4 MCPC platform, Measat has addressed our business needs by providing high-quality services at a competitive rate.”

    The two parties most recently signed a contract in March 2008 to distribute Celestial Classic Movies.
