[Satellite Today 06-08-09] Pace launched a global Networks Approved Partner program to support the rollout of its MultiDweller distribution platform for high-occupancy buildings, the company announced June 4.
    MultiDweller aims to make it possible for pay-TV and other entertainment operators to sell converged triple-play services into apartment blocks and hotels that today are difficult and expensive to access. The service could be of interest to satellite pay-TV operators who are interesting in gaining more customers in these locations.
    According to Pace, the initial focus for the initiative will be on qualifying a group of partner companies to service the immediate needs of cable, satellite, telco and IPTV operators in Europe, before being extended to other international markets. Partners will be recruited at local level to provide services and support to Pace customers and to drive mutually beneficial business opportunities for themselves and Pace Networks, a subsidiary of Pace, as operators look at ways to reach new audiences.
