[Satellite Today 05-11-09] Crawford Satellite Services extended its fiber network, supporting Crawford Connect, with live connectivity via Studio-on-Main, in Columbia, S.C., the company announced.
    With the new national and international fiber video transport, Crawford said it can offer new live capabilities to its clients.
    “The facility is another important location for broadcasters to utilize. This is a hub for the city and state. Those booking Studio-on-Main have a direct connection to Crawford’s local loop providers, and that gives area businesses and government institutions various communication options,” Ed Deckert, vice president of teleport and Internet services for Crawford, said in a statement.
