[Satellite Today 04-16-09] Eutelsat has moved its Kabelkiosk digital cable platform to the Eurobird 9A satellite, Eutelsat company announced April 15.
    Eutelsat Deutschland said that with the move, Kabelkiosk platform, which offers German and international content, will make a significant contribution to the full transition to digital of cable markets in the regions it serves.
    “With the room for expansion that our 9 degrees East neighborhood can offer cable operators, all requirements are assembled for significant growth of subscribers, channels and cable partners for KabelKiosk,” Martina Rutenbeck, managing director of Eutelsat Deutschland, said in a statement.
    Almost 200,000 homes subscribe to KabelKiosk, with the number of channels increasing over the last 12 months from 70 to 120.
