[Satellite Today 03-09-09] The Cable and Satellite Broadcasting Association of Asia (CASBAA) is including the participation of decision-making government officials from the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), the Indian Ministry of Information and Broadcasting and the Indian Department of Telecommunications in the CASBAA India Satellite Forum in March 2009, CASBAA announced Mar. 6.
    Named "Satellite Communications: A new era for India", the program will also feature industry personnel drawn from the satellite TV and cable TV platforms along with representatives from content providers.
    Separately, CASBAA named two new members to the association – India’s national space technology and application developer Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), as an institutional member, and the Vietnam-based satellite services provider VinaSat, as a corporate member.
