[Satellite Today 12-11-08] Őzkan Dalbay, director general of Turksat, told Satellite Today that there will be strong growth for the operator in the regional broadcast market.
    Turkey has a population of over 70 million people and represents a potentially lucrative broadcast market.
    “First of all we can say that we are very hopeful about the future. Just four years ago, Turksat satellites were being operated with 40-50 percent usage rates. However, now we have much higher demand that we can supply. According to our surveys about this regional market, we see that this (broadcast) market will be much bigger than it is now,” said Dalbay.
